Obstacles are generally part of everyone's life, and we all are too familiar with its level of intensity at times. To face your adversity without preparation, posture and poise, is certainly a recipe for disaster. Therefore, it becomes necessary to be mentally and emotionally tough to navigate and negotiate through the maze of life that can become quite difficult at times. We too often try to create the image of being strong and without any weaknesses, while torturing ourselves with struggles that others may not see. The fact of the matter, strength is not always needed at certain dead-end paths, but resiliency is.
Having the ability to be flexible enough to bounce back and reassert your position. To recover and feel that restoration is just ahead. The scripture says " Although, I walk through the valley or period of the shadow or overcast of death or doom, I won't fear evil or become overwhelmed with the thought of disaster, because Jehovah is with me. His rod and His Staff are there to comfort and protect me". (Psalms 23:4)
The issue is not panicking when challenges are present, then feeling incapable of facing the adversity, but understanding that this is a test and can also be an opportunity to thrust yourself into a battle that won't kill you but build you. There are times when oppositions are purposely placed in your lane for measuring. You can either resist or ignore them and pretend as if they don't exist or you can count the cost of the battle that you are about to engage in, position yourself and proceed. Remember, you're not engaging in warfare to lose but to win.
That promotion, new job, marriage, raising a family, ministry assignment, misunderstanding, illness, etc. Whatever it might be, you can become the victor as opposed to the victim by accepting the challenge and not running from it. As I always say " It's your choice"

Thank you for the reminder that it is ok to not always be ok. That being strong can often lead to a breakdown when we don't handle our situations properly. This is a much-needed message for me, because I am learning that my strength is not in the appearance of being strong but in my ability to show my weakness. I do not have all the answers, nor can I fix everyone's problems but what I can do is continue to practice surrendering to God. Seeking Him for guidance and direction. Relying on Him for wisdom, for courage, for peace. I know that things will happen, and situations will occur, but how I choose to handle them will make all the difference in my life.
Thank you, Archbishop, for this powerful reminder.

Amen, Archbishop! When we take our time and don't panic in the face of adversity, we will often see a path forward through the trials and troubles, and can navigate right along the path that God has chosen for us! Then, we will find that, with preparation & poise, the obstacles become an aid to grow "Strong(er) in the Lord, and in the power of His might!" {Ephesians 6:10}
Blessings to you, sir, and thank you for the Wonderful Words of Wisdom!
