How often do we ponder within our minds the truth of who we really are, when alone? I am not referring to the "MY TRUTH" cliche, that is often repeated in various circles or online for click-baits, but the: is God pleased with who I actually am? sincere thought. I can remember that there were times when I felt that I had to become what others were expecting me to be, because of the peer environment that I was in. Not wanting to disappoint those within my profession or vocation and influenced by my predecessors. Please understand that following the examples and model of those before me, wasn't a bad thing, in fact in my case, it was a great thing.

However, this does not erase the fact, that there are many sufferers from false representation of themselves. To the extent, that they nor others can identify the characters that they are portraying, although they have known these persons for years. Outside influencers can cause a change in identity, especially when a certain lifestyle is preferred as opposed to what the person is familiar with.

I am the best of what I was born to be and should exhibit that for which I was created. This glorifies God more than the fake imagining that I produced, regardless of the genesis of it. Truth should be explained and maintained based on the creator of it and not a preferred package that we invented because of the expectation of what's popular, enticing and attractive to the masses. Who are you? who informed you as to who you are? from whom did they receive this data? and what qualifies them to give this information to you?

Each one of us are revelations within itself and it takes time, sensitivity to the creator and His purpose for our existence to be revealed. It doesn't happen overnight or by someone's plan for our life, for whatever reason. We each have purpose and with that purpose comes identity and with that identity, comes the plan and the path which has been laid out before any other donor of ideas are given to us by another person.

Very profound message. I have and at times continue to struggle with who I am. I can see more often than not who I have allowed others to influence me to be. Yet then there are times when I feel different, I feel unique, set apart, chosen for something bigger and greater than my imagination could fathom and it's only then do I recognize the image looking back at me.

This truly hit home for me,
"Truth should be explained and maintained based on the creator of it and not a preferred package that we invented because of the expectation of what's popular, enticing and attractive to the masses. Who are you?

Thank you for starting the conversation.
